Women in Law: Retaining and Promoting Diverse Leadership
Women in Law: Retaining and Promoting Diverse Leadership
Tuesday, March 18, 2025 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (PDT)
Description
Women make up 39.51% of the more than 1.3 million lawyers in the United States. Of the population of female lawyers at law firms, however, most are white women and only 2.28% are Black, 2.34% are Latina, and 4.81% are Asian women. What's more is that even when they remain in private practice, women continue to remain underrepresented among firm partners; they now make up 23.7-27.76% of all equity partners. Join our esteemed panel as we navigate issues such as:
1. The recruitment, retention, and promotion of women and women of color in law;
2. How policies for working mothers can keep more of them in the profession, happily; and
3. Looking to the future, how millennial female lawyers might change the practice of law and women's leadership in the profession.
