Where can AI make a meaningful difference in your practice, and what does your firm need to use it responsibly?

This accessible introduction helps attorneys, firm leaders, and legal professionals understand generative AI, recognize useful applications, and identify sensible next steps. We’ll explore how to build capability and confidence while protecting confidential information, client relationships, and professional judgment.

Participants will learn about generative AI and GPT tools and their limitations; practical applications for drafting, summarizing, analyzing, and supporting legal workflows; approaches to clearer prompting; custom GPTs, plugins, and AI agents; and considerations around verification, confidentiality, human oversight, and AI governance.

The session will combine practical examples with guided discussion and is designed to provide a useful foundation for attorneys and legal professionals regardless of their current level of AI experience. No technical background is required.
